The Making of Nocturne

This piece draws the eye to an immersive upward perspective from the quiet dark of the forest floor into a vast, glowing night sky. Painted across a four-canvas grid, the artwork pairs a softly blended celestial backdrop, featuring a luminous moon, swirling nebular clouds, and distant star clusters with the sharp, dramatic silhouettes of towering trees.

I used a palette knife technique for the tree line, the deep black trunks fan outward to draw the viewer's eye straight into the cosmos. Rich indigo hues, deep violets, and glowing whites create an atmosphere of cosmic wonder and peaceful solitude.
