The Making of Patchwork Valley
A peaceful slice of the North Devon coast. This piece captures the quiet, rolling hills of Mortehoe just as the mist begins to clear. I loved using soft, layered watercolor washes to build up the patchwork of greens and yellows, letting the colors bleed naturally to create that signature misty English sky. If you look closely, you can spot the tiny wooden gate in the foreground guiding you into the valley.
